XC2™ and the Year 2000 (and beyond)

XC2 Backflow Prevention Management software by EngSoft Solutions is based upon the 4th Dimension® database engine by ACI US, Inc. /ACI Paris, France. XC2 and 4th Dimension are and have always been year 2000 compliant. XC2 and 4th Dimension can store and express dates from 1/1/100 AD through 12/31/32,000. XC2 has these built in data entry and display features which handle cross-century dates: The database administrator ("Super Admin" access) can change a setting which will cause the displayed date to appear as either 2 or 4 digits if the year is greater than 1999. This is display only, the actual date is held within the system. Currently, there is an arbitrary setting within XC2 which will set the year automatically during data entry if only two year digits are entered. If the year entered is less than 20, XC2 will automatically set the year to 2000 + the entered year. This abitratry setting will be an administrator preference in a future version on XC2. All products by EngSoft Solutions are and have always been year 2000 compliant.
